Signing in
The MiaRec web portal runs in any modern web browser. Depending on how your administrator set up your account, you sign in with one of the following methods:
- Login and password
- Login and password plus two-step verification
- Single sign-on (SSO) with your organization's identity provider
What is the URL of the MiaRec web portal?
The MiaRec platform is hosted by your service provider or by your own company. Contact your administrator if you do not know the portal URL.
Sign in with login and password
- Open the MiaRec web portal URL in your browser.
- On the Sign In page, enter your login and password.
- Click Sign In.
If you forgot your password, use the Forgot your password? link on the sign-in page to request a reset link by email. If the link is not shown, self-service password reset is not enabled for your account — contact your administrator instead. See also Changing your password.
Two-step verification
If two-step verification is enabled for your account, signing in takes one extra step: after entering your login and password, you are asked for a one-time verification code. Depending on which methods your organization has enabled and which you have set up, the code comes from an authenticator app on your phone, or is sent to you by email or text message (SMS).
While entering the code, you can mark the computer you are using as trusted, so you are not asked for a code on your next sign-in from the same device. You can review and revoke trusted devices later — see Account security.
Note
Two-step verification is configured per organization. Your administrator controls whether it is available or required — see Two-step verification in the Administration Guide.
Single sign-on
If single sign-on is activated for your account, you sign in with your organization's identity provider (for example Google, Microsoft, Okta, or another SAML 2.0 provider) instead of a MiaRec password:
- Open the MiaRec web portal URL in your browser.
- Click the Sign in with ... link for your identity provider.
- Complete the sign-in in the identity provider's window if prompted.
With SSO, your password is managed by the identity provider — to change or reset it, use your identity provider's portal, not MiaRec. Depending on your organization's policy, SSO can be optional or required. SSO setup is described in Single sign-on in the Administration Guide.
