Live monitoring servers
Live monitoring lets supervisors listen to active conversations in real time. The audio is streamed by dedicated live monitoring servers; this page covers their cluster configuration and health. The customer-facing side — licenses on monitored users and permissions — is documented in Live monitoring in the Administration Guide.
Where: Administration › Maintenance › Live Monitoring Servers.
Cluster settings
The settings shared by all live monitoring servers (edit via Edit Configuration):
- STUN server URL — one or more STUN servers used for connectivity negotiation.
- RTP Min Port / RTP Max Port — limits the pool of RTP ports used for audio streams.
- ICE Lite — enable to use an ICE Lite agent.
The page also shows the overall live monitoring status with a Revalidate all link that re-checks every server.
Server list
Each live monitoring server is listed with:
- Name
- Health status — Healthy, Unhealthy, or Unknown (the portal periodically probes each server; Revalidate all forces a re-check).
- Service URL and Public IP
- Version
- Sessions — active, failed, and total session counts; click through a server to inspect individual sessions.
Use Add / Delete to register or remove servers and Edit to change a server's connection details.
Verifying the feature end to end
A healthy server list is necessary but not sufficient — users also need monitoring licenses and permissions. If supervisors report that live monitoring does not work:
- Check the server Health status here (and Revalidate all).
- Confirm the monitored users hold live monitoring licenses — see License usage.
- Confirm the supervisor's role and group scope allow monitoring — see Live monitoring.
