License keys

License keys carry the system-wide entitlements — how many seats of each type the deployment as a whole may use, and until when. Keys live under Administration › Licensing, separate from the per-tenant limits and per-user assignment described in License usage.

Recording license

Administration › Licensing › Recording License shows the license of each registered recorder. Open a recorder's license to see:

  • the licensed count for each type — recording seats/sessions, monitoring seats/sessions, evaluation seats, speech analytics, screen recording seats — alongside the number currently required by assignments;
  • License Expiration and Maintenance Expiration, with the remaining (or overdue) time;
  • a View license utilization link — per-recorder usage broken down by tenant and user.

Click Edit License to install or replace the license key.

License info requires a running recorder

The license details are reported by the recorder service. If the recorder is offline, the page shows only "License info is not available because the server is offline for …" — bring the recorder back online (see Recorder servers) to read or verify the license.

Screen recording license

Administration › Licensing › Screen Recording License lists the screen-recording module instances with their Instance, Location, Version, and Status, and holds the license for the screen-recording capability. See Screen recording operations for the surrounding infrastructure.

When a key changes

Installing a new key changes the system-wide pools immediately. If the new key is smaller than the seats already assigned, the affected types show license warnings on the License usage page — resolve them by unassigning seats or correcting the key.
