Audit reports
Two report types turn the audit trail into shareable, schedulable reports. They are created and run like any other report — with a report template under the Reports menu — so the general workflow (layout, filters, scheduling, email delivery, exporting results) is documented in the User Guide Reports chapter:
Audit Trail Details Report
One row per audit record — an extract of the log itself, suitable as compliance evidence. Available columns include the date and time, application, resource, action, initiator, initiator IP address, the initiator's group(s), the related record, and the recorded details.
Audit Trail Summary Report
Event counts (Total events) instead of individual records, grouped by a time period (hour, day, week, month, or year), or for example by group, by initiator, or by initiator IP address. Use it for trend questions — sign-in volumes per day, playback activity per team — and drill into the details report when a number looks unusual.
Filter semantics
Audit report filters select audit records, not conversations:
- Audit Trail criteria — date and date/time, resource, action, initiator, initiator name, client IP address, application, related record ID, and free text in the recorded data.
- Group — filters by the initiator's group.
Note the direction of the criteria: the initiator is the user who performed the action. A filter on initiator "Jane" returns what Jane did — not what was done to Jane's account or conversations. To find actions affecting a specific record, filter on the related record ID or search the recorded data.
