Overview

This guide explains how to configure the MiaRec platform to integrate with Cisco Webex using Webex's native (built‑in) call recording.

Prerequisites

  • Admin access to Webex Control Hub with both Compliance Officer and Full Admin roles.
  • Admin credentials for the MiaRec web portal.

How It Works

The following diagram illustrates the MiaRec–Webex integration.

After setup, MiaRec receives near real‑time events from Webex and retrieves completed call recordings. MiaRec analyzes recordings with AI to provide:

  • Transcription
  • Sentiment analysis
  • Topic and keyword analysis
  • Call summaries
  • Manual and automated QA using the AI assistant
  • AI insights (Reason for the Call, Call Outcome, Next Actions, Key Facts)

All data is available in the MiaRec web portal with access controlled by role‑based access control (RBAC).

  • How quickly do recordings appear in MiaRec?

    Typically within a few minutes after the call ends, once Webex finishes processing the recording.

  • Are callers automatically notified that a call is being recorded?

    You can enable recording announcements in Webex Control Hub (see this guide for details).

  • Do I need to install software on user devices or my network?

    No. MiaRec is a cloud service that integrates directly with Webex.

  • How long are recordings retained?

  • How long does setup take?

    Only a few minutes.
